Senior Electrical Design Lead for Infrastructure Projects

Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking experienced Engineering Design Managers to lead design input on major infrastructure projects. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, ensure designs are buildable, compliant and innovative, and collaborate with clients to deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes.

You will drive constructability reviews, manage interfaces, and embed safety, quality and sustainability across the full project lifecycle from concept to delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing design through the full project lifecycle across multiple sectors.
• Understanding of integrated design delivery and consultant performance.
• Knowledge of BIM and common data environments.
• Degree in engineering discipline (Electrical).
• Chartered Engineer status preferred (CIBSE, IET or similar).
• Strong communication and collaboration with clients and staff.
• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical assurance, review constructability, and manage design interfaces.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams of engineers from consultants and partners.
• Collaborate with technical, operational, maintenance, and strategic stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients, engineering managers, project managers, contractors and consultants.
• Drive innovative, practical and sustainable engineering solutions meeting requirements.
• Embed health, safety and environmental considerations into designs.
• Ensure integration across civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical functions.
• Ensure constructability and reliability across asset lifecycle.

Education

Degree in Engineering (Electrical)

Chartered Engineer (Preferred)
