Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to lead design input on prestigious infrastructure projects. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams from early concepts through delivery, ensuring buildability and compliance while driving innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

You will work closely with clients, engineers, and contractors to manage interfaces and risks. The role emphasizes collaboration, technical leadership, and a proactive approach to design

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing design through the full project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of integrated design delivery and managing consultant performance.
• Knowledge and experience of BIM and common data environments.
• Degree qualified in engineering (Mechanical or Building Services).
• Chartered Engineer status preferred with recognised bodies.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary design teams across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Ensure designs are buildable, compliant, innovative and efficient.
• Manage design interfaces and constructability reviews.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors and consultants on project issues and scope changes.
• Embed health, safety and environmental considerations into design solutions.
• Drive innovative, practical engineering solutions meeting regulatory requirements.
