Southern Water is recruiting a Senior EICA Engineer to lead electrical, instrumentation, control and automation design across water and wastewater projects. You will provide technical leadership, review designs, mentor junior engineers and ensure safe, compliant delivery.

Based in Falmer with occasional site travel, you will work with multidisciplinary teams to optimise solutions, drive continuous improvement and support project budgets and business cases.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• IET membership or progress toward professional registration.
• Experience leading design projects in water/wastewater.
• Strong knowledge of EICA engineering principles and design processes.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical leadership across water and wastewater projects.
• Lead production, review and approval of designs, calculations, reports and documentation.
• Support project delivery by managing design programmes, resources and outputs.
• Ensure designs meet safety, environmental and regulatory requirements (CDM).
• Manage stakeholders and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver outcomes.
• Resolve complex engineering challenges and drive continuous improvement.
• Coach, mentor and develop Assistant and Graduate Engineers.
