Senior EHS Specialist

World Leader in Glucose Monitoring Abbott Diabetes Care designs develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. Our Centre of Excellence in Witney is at the heart of innovation producing electrodes and biosensors that support the day‑to‑day management of diabetes. The site has played a key role in the development of the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System and its successors including FreeStyle Libre 2 FreeStyle Libre 3 and Libre Sense.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior EHS Specialist to join our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team in this role you will play a key part in keeping our operations safe and compliant. Youll interpret business standards and UK regulations ensure these are reflected in site policies and procedures and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to aid implementation.

Youll share your expertise in areas such as :

  • Contractor management
  • Incident response and investigation
  • Compliance audits
  • Managing specific EHS programmes tailored to site needs
ABOUT YOU

Youll be an ambitious and proactive EHS professional with strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across the business

To be successful you will ideally have :

  • A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (or be working towards this)
  • A degree in Science or Engineering (beneficial but not essential)
  • Broad EHS experience ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced changing environment

We will also consider applicants with a NEBOSH General Certificate and suitable experience who are working towards a Diploma or equivalent.
