Job summary

Murphy, a leading energy services provider, is seeking a Senior Document Controller in Kentish Town, London. You will own construction documentation, ensure contract-compliant control, and manage CDEs for long-term accessibility across projects in the energy sector.

You will oversee document numbering, quality checks, and distribution workflows while coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring timely, accurate handover packages at contract completion.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional Administration and/or Document Control department.
• Knowledge of IT systems including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
• Experience with electronic document management systems such as Aconex or ProjectWise.
• Ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in the Infrastructure / Civil / Engineering / Construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Be the focal point for construction documentation and maintain control.
• Ensure documents meet contract requirements and timescales.
• Oversee obsolete/superseded documents and ensure proper deletion or marking.
• Maintain Client and JMS CDEs and ensure transfer on contract completion.
• Allocate document numbers per procedures and perform quality checks.
• Create and maintain distribution lists, workflows and review cycles.
• Support change management and handover documentation (O&M, H&S, as-builts).
• Archive documents to ensure legibility and traceability.
