NEW ROLE - Senior Development / Project Manager – Residential Real Estate (Single-Family Housing)

Our client is a specialist residential investor–developer with a mission to deliver value to landowners, investors, partners, and communities. Their focus is on building long-term partnerships and creating purpose-designed single-family housing schemes for institutional investors and operators.

Using innovative approaches and modern methods of construction (MMC), they are delivering high-quality rental homes across the UK. With a growing pipeline they are positioning themselves as a leading operator and partner in the UK residential investment sector.

The company has offices in London and Cambridge. You will be required in the London office at least twice a week but they are open to candidates living outside of London, particularly in the Cambridgeshire area

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced candidate with a Development, Project, Technical, or Construction Management backgrounds in housebuilding and a strong focus on delivery. This is a cradle-to-grave role, offering immediate exposure to live schemes and the chance to play a pivotal part in shaping how the company delivers modern, sustainable single-family housing.

The company has a very active pipeline, as such you’ll be hands-on from day one, moving quickly from handover and contractor management into design, planning, and delivery of upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support acquisitions with development inputs, underwriting assumptions, and delivery risk assessments
  • Lead development due diligence (technical, planning, environmental, sustainability, costs)
  • Scope and manage external consultants, ensuring risks are reflected in legal documentation
  • Full procurement of build contracts (typically JCT D&B), including budgets, ERs/specifications, and contractor negotiations
  • Oversee contractor and consultant teams during construction, ensuring quality, programme, and cost control
  • Manage reporting (weekly, monthly, and annual planning/compliance) across the full development lifecycle
About You
  • 5+ years’ experience in construction or residential development, ideally with housebuilder or investor–developer backgrounds
  • Strong delivery experience (site and project management exposure essential)
  • Wide knowledge of construction methods, planning, and technical processes
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership across multiple projects
  • Experience with sustainability initiatives and Net Zero housing products
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
