Job summary

A Bristol-based contractor is seeking a Senior Designer to lead the safe and accurate design of roofing and cladding projects. The ideal candidate will excel in AutoCAD and Revit and have experience in the UK construction industry. Responsibilities include producing drawings, leading project timelines, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position offers flexibility with an option to work from home one day per week, alongside competitive compensation of up to £65K depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and document management systems.
• Experience delivering roofing and cladding projects in the UK.
• Knowledge of BIM protocol (ISO19650).
• Design experience with composite and structural systems.
• Understanding of UK industry regulations and guidance documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the culture of safety and environmental protection.
• Produce 2D drawings and 3D models with minimal assistance.
• Calculate quantities and produce accurate itemised lists.
• Compile product data and document packages for contractors.
• Lead project design team meetings and provide technical guidance.

Skills

Proficient in AutoCAD

Experience in roofing and cladding projects

Knowledge of BIM protocol (ISO19650)

Design experience with various wall and roof systems
