Role – We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead data architecture design, modelling, and governance for a large‑scale cloud data platform transformation. You will partner with senior stakeholders, drive cloud data strategy, and ensure scalable, secure, and cost‑effective implementation across enterprise data products.

Key Responsibilities

• Align architecture direction with business, engineering, product and security stakeholders.
• Define and document end‑to‑end data architecture, scope, and implementation plans.
• Lead requirements translation: functional & non‑functional (performance, security, cost, compliance).
• Support Agile delivery teams with design guidance and architecture governance.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and architectural decisions requiring senior approval.
• Drive data modelling best practices including Lakehouse, Delta Lake & dimensional modelling.
• Define standards, patterns, and secure‑by‑design principles across solutions.
• Maintain architecture artefacts and ensure accessibility across the programme.

• Demonstrated project experiences as a Data Architect.
• Hands‑on with Azure + Databricks, including Medallion Architecture.
• Strong data modelling, with PySpark & SQL skills.
• Proven leadership in large cloud transformation programmes.
• Stakeholder management at senior level (business & technology).
• Knowledge of Data Quality & Data Governance frameworks.
• Awareness of FinOps and designing cost‑effective cloud solutions.
• Agile delivery environment experience.

Desirable Skills

• Cloud architecture certification (Azure preferred).
• Exposure to design‑thinking techniques & coaching teams.
