AECOM seeks an experienced Senior Cost Manager to support major capital projects within the Buildings & Places Infrastructure team, focusing on water and environment sectors with clients such as Scottish Water and the Environment Agency.

You will lead cost management across the full lifecycle, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to business development while working in a hybrid setting with opportunities to work from offices or client sites.

Qualifications

• Significant experience and strong track record in the Cost Management/Quantity Surveying field.
• Good working knowledge of NEC4 suite of contracts, particularly the PSC and ECC.
• Experience of undertaking cost/commercial management as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams.
• Experience of working within a client organization, either directly or through a colocation/secondment arrangement would be of benefit.
• Ability to identify and influence key client stakeholders, building effective relationships to grow workload/portfolio.

• Lead and deliver all aspects of cost management from project inception through to completion, working collaboratively with peers, Directors, clients and wider project teams.
• Achieve the highest standards of professional competence and demonstrate this capability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing AECOM's reputation for excellence.
• Drive performance standards and technical excellence through expert communication, effective performance management and active participation in AECOM's technical practice networks.
• Build, maintain and develop strong client relationships, taking every opportunity to enhance AECOM's profile as a provider of professional, premium-quality services to the construction industry.
• Actively support the wider team and mentor more junior colleagues, particularly on technically complex projects.
• Identify and develop business development opportunities and, where appropriate, bring them to the attention of Directors and the Business Development team to help secure new work and strengthen client relationships.
