Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Associate Cost Manager to support major capital projects across Scotland, the Midlands and the North of England, focusing on water and environment sectors. You will manage cost throughout the project lifecycle and mentor junior staff within an established team.

As part of our Buildings & Places Infrastructure group, you’ll work with leading clients such as Scottish Water and the Environment Agency, ensuring accurate cost advice, strong client relationships and opportunities

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of NEC4 contracts (PSC and ECC).
• Experience of cost/commercial management in integrated, multi-organisation teams.
• Experience of working within a client organisation or via secondment would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver all aspects of cost management from inception of a project through to completion.
• Maintain the highest standards of professional competence with clients and contacts, reinforcing the profile of the company.
• Drive performance standards and technical excellence through effective communication and use of the practice networks.
• Maintain and develop good relationships with clients and uphold the firm’s profile as a provider of professional, premium quality services.
• Actively support the internal team and manage junior staff on technically complex projects.
• Develop marketing opportunities and brief Directors/BD to follow up potential leads for new business.
