Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Associate Cost Manager to support major capital projects in the Buildings & Places sector. You will manage cost control across the full lifecycle, collaborating with water and environment clients and internal teams to deliver value-driven solutions.

You will guide cost planning, benchmarking, and reporting while developing junior staff and contributing to client relationships. Hybrid working options are available across the UK.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NEC4 suite contracts: PSC and ECC.
• Experience delivering cost and commercial management within integrated teams.
• Experience in client organisations or via secondment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver all aspects of cost management from inception to completion.
• Maintain and develop relationships with clients to uphold the firm’s profile.
• Drive performance standards and technical excellence through effective communication.
• Support internal team and mentor junior staff on complex projects.
• Develop marketing opportunities and raise potential leads with Directors/BD as appropriate.

Cost/Commercial management experience

Client/ multi‑organisation teamwork

Education

Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent

MRICS accreditation or in progress
