Job summary

AECOM in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to support major capital projects across Scotland, the Midlands and the North of England in the water and environment sectors. You will deliver comprehensive cost management across the project lifecycle, from inception to commissioning, within a collaborative Buildings & Places team.

You will lead cost planning, procurement, reporting and risk management, build strong client relationships (including Scottish Water and the Environment

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) required.
• Accredited MRICS or working towards membership.
• Experience in cost management for large-scale infrastructure.
• Knowledge of NEC4 contracts, PSC and ECC.
• Experience working in multi-organisation, collaborative teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management from project inception through to completion with peers, Directors, clients and wider project teams.
• Feasibility estimates, cost planning (including presenting without supervision), contract procurement, tender documentation, value engineering, commercial management, fee generation, risk management, dispute resolution, post-contract cost management and reporting, and agreement of final accounts.
• Build strong client relationships and maintain a high standard of professional competence with clients and contacts.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to development within the team.
• Identify and develop business development opportunities and bring them to Directors and the Business Development team to grow workload and portfolio.
