Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead construction management for the global SMR programme. You will work with Programme Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure safe, on-time, and cost-efficient delivery of complex civil works and modular construction across multiple geographies.

The role requires a degree in construction management or civil engineering with relevant accreditation, leadership experience, and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects (civils, nuclear, overseas).
• Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering; relevant accreditation.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting, contract management, H&S, and UK/European construction law.
• Experience in complex programmes with multiple suppliers and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality delivery, cost efficiency, and timely completion of RR SMR.
• Oversee all aspects of construction management from planning to handover.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, design and internal teams to maintain safety, quality and satisfaction.
• Define requirements for civils supply chain partners and participate in procurement.
• Monitor progress, manage risks to timelines, costs, and quality; develop mitigation strategies.
• Resolve issues or disputes with contractors or internal teams promptly.
