Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a Programme Manager in delivering key SMR projects across our portfolio. The role focuses on planning, governance and stakeholder collaboration to drive safe, efficient delivery of high-quality outcomes.

You will work across engineering, regulatory, procurement and construction activities within a high-profile programme, developing plans, managing risks and supporting cost forecasting while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting or delivering in engineering, infrastructure or regulated environments.
• Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, risk management and controls.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and management of project plans, schedules and delivery activities to achieve key milestones.
• Monitor project performance, risks, issues and opportunities with mitigation.
• Collaborate with engineering, commercial, procurement and regulatory stakeholders to drive outcomes.
• Support project governance, reporting and decision-making processes.
• Assist with project cost management, forecasting and budget tracking.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned in project management.
• Ensure activities align with safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
