Job summary

Barratt Redrow PLC is seeking a commercially minded professional to join our team in the UK. You will oversee material purchasing, cost schedules and supplier communications across multiple sites, ensuring budgets and specifications are met.

The role offers hybrid working with a blend of office, site and home-based work. Reporting to the Buying Manager, you will drive cost efficiency, attend meetings, manage invoices and support project valuations while delivering high standards of service to

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ Level 4 or higher with a valid CSCS card.
• Numerate with attention to detail and able to present data to facilitate budgets.
• Methodical, conscientious and organised; strong IT and communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and manage supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and place material and plant orders with suppliers, optimizing cost and quality.
• Attend internal pre-start and team meetings.
• Check drawings for discrepancies and ensure material specs are met.
• Produce material cost schedules and budgets with cost codes.
• Assess quotations and supplier schedules, and track cost increases.
• Provide site material accruals on a monthly basis and quarterly valuations.
