Job summary

Barratt Redrow plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Site Manager to lead construction developments, coordinating labour and trades, ensuring health and safety, quality and cost control across multiple sites.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will oversee pre- and post-housebuilding works, liaise with NHBC and inspectors, run toolbox talks, manage suppliers, and support sales with a smooth delivery to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering on an established build programme.
• Ability to deliver weekly targets through effective labour organization.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to ensure compliance.
• Proven leadership to deliver high-quality on site.
• Ability to prioritise tasks amid changing business needs.
• Membership in CIOB or NVQ5 in Construction Management or time-served trades.
• Knowledge of construction, housebuilding, health and safety, NHBC, and Building Regulations.
• Experience dealing with customers and potential customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction of developments and all pre/post housebuilding works, ensuring targets for health, safety, quality and cost are met.
• Coordinate labour and resources on site to deliver the build programme and schedule trades.
• Control material levels to meet programme needs while optimizing on-site labour.
• Ensure plots meet NHBC Standards and Building Regulations.
• Attend plot inspections with Local Building Inspector or NHBC and rectify defects.
• Lead toolbox talks and on-site safety briefings.
• Liaise with internal departments, externals suppliers and partners to achieve the programme.
• Work with Sales to ensure smooth delivery to customers.
• Maintain high standards of site presentation and customer experience.
• Provide New Home Tours with Sales Advisor and address questions before completion.
• Ensure the on-site team is resourced, directed, and trained with clear responsibilities.
• Model best practice in health and safety, professionalism and quality.
