Job summary

Constructive Moves Ltd. is seeking a materials buyer to join its expanding buying team in London. You will source all types of materials for RC Frame Apartments and traditional housing schemes, and work to agreed supplier terms.

The role requires at least 2 years' experience in a construction buying role, ability to read drawings for take-offs, schedule materials to site, and analyse supplier quotes to secure best prices. You will place orders promptly to avoid delays to programmes.

Constructive Moves is working with a leading residential developer who are actively looking for a materials buyer to join it's expanding buying team. As a materials buyer you will be sourcing all types of materials for variety of schemes from RC Frame Apartments schemes to traditional housing schemes within London.

As a Materials Buyer you will be mainly working to agreed terms with building suppliers, but there will be times when you need to source new materials from different suppliers. For this role you will need to have at least 2 years experience within a construction buying role, be able to take off from drawings, schedule materials to site and be able to analyse quotes to agree the best price for the materials. You must be able to place the orders in a timely manner to ensure there are no delays to the construction programmes.
