Job summary
Hypercube Consulting in Aberdeen is seeking a Platform Technical Lead to act as the senior technical authority for a major cloud infrastructure and platform managed service for an oil & gas customer. This hands-on role requires deep production experience across Windows and Linux, with strong Azure and hybrid multi-cloud expertise.
You will lead major incidents, guide engineering teams, and ensure safe, well-governed changes through ITIL/ServiceNow processes, while mentoring peers and setting
Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on production Windows/Linux infrastructure experience.
- Strong Azure and hybrid/multi-cloud experience.
- Ability to lead major incident response and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code.
- ITIL/ServiceNow processes familiarity.
Responsibilities
- Lead major incidents and 24x7 P1/P2 response.
- Provide technical leadership for the engineering team.
- Coordinate vendor escalation during incidents and changes.
- Set technical standards and governance for the service.
- Drive root-cause analysis and problem management.
- Mentor and develop engineers to improve technical capabilities.
- Ensure changes are validated and risk-assessed in production.
- Operate within ITIL-aligned incident, change and problem processes.
