Job summary

Hypercube Consulting is seeking a Platform Technical Lead to act as the senior technical authority for a major cloud infrastructure and platform managed service for an oil & gas client.

You will lead technical response in incidents, coordinate engineers and vendors, and shape engineering standards across Azure, AWS, OCI and on-premises components. This is a hands-on role with strong automation expectations in a flexible Aberdeen-driven hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on production experience across Windows and Linux.
• Strong Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure experience.
• Experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
• Ability to lead major incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Experience with ITSM processes and ITIL framework (ServiceNow).
• Energy/oil & gas familiarity or offshore exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical authority across the managed cloud and infrastructure estate.
• Lead T3 escalation and major incident response with technical leadership.
• Review and assure significant production changes with testing and rollback plans.
• Coordinate vendors and Hypercube specialists during complex incidents.
• Mentor engineers and improve technical capability of the team.
• Set automation and IaC direction for the service.
