Job summary

Hypercube Consulting is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Platform Engineer to provide hands-on production engineering across a hybrid multi-cloud estate (AWS, Azure and Arc) for a major energy-sector client. The role is based from Aberdeen with regular travel to other sites in Scotland as needed.

You’ll own incidents, changes and automation, ensuring production services stay healthy and compliant with ITIL processes.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the UK
• Baseline Disclosure Scotland check required
• Able to attend customer site in Aberdeen
• Willing to participate in on-call 24x7 incidents
• Experience with multi-cloud environments is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation and resolution of T2/T3 incidents across cloud and on-premises estate
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot production infrastructure across AWS and Azure
• Design and implement production changes with risk assessment and rollback plans
• Patch and vulnerability remediation across Windows, Linux and cloud platforms
• Backup, restore and disaster recovery planning and execution
• Automation and Infrastructure as Code to reduce manual toil
• Mentor and share knowledge with engineers, contribute to runbooks
• Follow ITSM processes via ServiceNow for changes and incidents
