Sword Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to own production cloud and hybrid cloud services across customer environments. This hands-on role focuses on service health, resilience and continual improvement rather than completing isolated technical tasks.

You will operate across major cloud platforms, governance, security, automation and incident escalation, mentoring engineers and driving corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise IT operations, managed services or complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of public and private cloud architectures and governance.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex service issues across multiple domains.

Responsabilités

• Own operational health, reliability, security and continual improvement of cloud services.
• Operate and maintain services across major public cloud platforms (compute, storage, networking, identity, security, monitoring, backup, recovery).
• Support hybrid cloud environments linking public cloud with on‑premises, private cloud, edge and legacy systems.
• Develop and maintain automation and IaC for deployment, validation and remediation.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex incidents and service failures.
• Plan controlled platform changes with security, resilience, cost and supportability in mind.
