Job summary

Hypercube Consulting is seeking a Platform Technical Lead to act as the senior technical authority for a major cloud infrastructure and platform managed service in the energy sector. This role requires strong hands-on Windows, Linux, Azure and multi-cloud experience, with a focus on production operations, incident response and automation.

Aberdeen is preferred, with regular travel to other sites in Scotland.

Qualifications

Eligible to work in the UK.
Baseline Disclosure Scotland check required.
Able to attend customer site in Aberdeen when required.
Senior hands-on production experience in Windows and Linux.
Strong Azure and hybrid infrastructure capabilities.
Experience leading major incidents and engineering escalations.
Background in consultancy or MSP environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Act as senior technical authority across managed cloud and infrastructure estate.
Lead major incident responses and post-incident reviews.
Provide technical assurance for complex production changes.
Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
Mentor engineers and develop technical capability.
Coordinate vendor escalation and ensure service performance.
