Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Civil / Structural Engineering Design Manager to lead design input on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, from early concepts through delivery. You will manage design consultants, ensure constructability, BIM and data environments are integrated, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to meet programme and regulatory requirements.

A Chartered Engineer with 5+ years' experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
Chartered Engineer status preferred (ICE/IStructE or similar).
Minimum 5 years' experience managing design through full lifecycle.
Experience with BIM and common data environments.
Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Revit.

Responsibilities

Lead technical assurance, review constructability, and manage design interfaces.
Manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams across consultants and partners.
Liaise with clients, engineering managers, project managers, contractors and consultants.
Drive innovative, practical and sustainable engineering solutions.
Embed health, safety and environmental considerations into all designs.
Ensure integration across civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical functions.
Ensure constructability, maintainability and reliability across asset lifecycle.
