Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Civil / Structural Engineering Design Manager to lead design activities for major infrastructure projects. You will supervise multi-disciplinary teams, ensure buildable and compliant designs, and coordinate with clients and consultants to deliver high-quality solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of design management experience, proficiency in BIM and CAD tools, and Chartered Engineer status is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing design through the full project lifecycle.
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Experience with BIM and common data environments.
• Experience with CAD (AutoCAD or Revit).
• Excellent communication skills with clients and staff.
• Self-driven and results-oriented.
• People management and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical assurance, review constructability, and manage design interfaces across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams of Engineers from consultants and partner companies.
• Collaborate with clients, Engineering Managers, Project Managers, Contractors and Consultants.
• Drive the development of innovative, practical and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Embed health, safety and environmental considerations into all engineering and design solutions.
• Ensure effective integration across civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical functions.
• Ensure constructability, maintainability and reliability across the asset lifecycle.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to manage external design consultants and contractors.
