Job summary

Immunocore Ltd in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Senior Scientist I - Characterisation to support impurity characterisation of biopharmaceutical products. The role involves peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS), mass spectrometry analysis, and characterization of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.

You will contribute to method development and data interpretation in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in development of HPLC-based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of expected post-translational modifications.

Responsibilities

• Supporting drug substance & product impurity characterisation and identification.
• Designing and carrying out biochemical characterisation and stability studies.
• Contributing to writing study protocols and reports.
• Leading lines of investigation and proposing new experiments when data suggest it.
• Reporting findings to senior management and partners.
