Senior Control, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (Client Side)

Position: Senior Control, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Birchwood Park, Warrington

Travel: Hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 days at home.

Arrangement: Permanent/Contract.

NUVIA UK's Technical Services & Consulting department is fast growing and offers hybrid opportunities across the country. We are seeking an experienced professional to support the Sellafield Progressive framework, specifically the MSSS SEP project.

Security clearance: BPSS clearance required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferable.

Essential Requirements
  • Preferred CEng/IEng status or equivalent experience
  • Experience delivering fit‑for‑purpose CE&I design solutions in cost and schedule constraints
  • Ability to break down problems into constituent parts and present options for resolution
  • Capability to contribute to the production of, deliver, and report on plans of work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with a variety of stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of regulations relevant to CE&I equipment delivery (CDM, PUWER, Machine Safety BS13849/62061, BS7671, Industrial installation methods and UKCA/CE)
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings (including checking) and relevant standards
  • Proficiency in reviewing and challenging conventional electrical power calculations in accordance with BS 7671
Desirable
  • Experience applying engineering judgement to produce evidence‑based risk solutions
  • Experience creating design specifications and supporting panel build/installation queries and issues
  • Experience in producing design risk assessments, installation method statements, EO packs, and supporting quality and O&M documentation
  • Experience with technical files and associated deliverables, including familiarity with EHSRs
  • Experience in functional safety (IEC 61508) through production or checking of design substantiation and safety case deliverables
  • Experience with PLC/SCADA control systems and network architecture
