About The Role

Senior Care & Support Assistant (Days)

Location: Abbotsham Bideford - EX39 5BE

Pay Rate: £13.25 per hour

Required: You’ll have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care.

Hours: 21.00 hrs to 07.00am (alternate weekends off)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Care & Support Assistant to join the TEAM at Kenwith Castle, our residential care home set in 30 acres of stunning North Devon Countryside at Abbotsham, Bideford.

What you will be doing:
  • Work alongside a team of Care Assistants to ensure they are supported and have guidance throughout their shift
  • Identifying the individual needs and abilities of our residents to allow you to deliver person centred care.
  • Supporting residents to help them remain as independent as possible.
  • Providing companionship – really getting to know them!
  • Act as point of escalation for any incidents or events in the home
  • Working in a team to create a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere around home.

You’ll have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).

With your previous care experience you will have the knowledge and understanding of care planning and administering medication.
