Job summary

A leading luxury care home provider in Stratford-upon-Avon is seeking a Senior Care Assistant. You will support the Care team in delivering high standards of personal care within a nurturing environment. Applicants should possess NVQ 3 in care, have 2 years' experience in a similar role, and demonstrate effective communication skills. This role involves monitoring resident wellbeing, assisting with medication, and liaising with families and healthcare professionals. Shifts are 4 days a week, including every other weekend.

Job description

The Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare's Scholars Mews Care Home in Stratford-Upon-Avon involves supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

To be successful in this role you will need: NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience in a similar care environment and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Being involved in the person‑centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.
Shift Details

4 shifts a week, every other weekend.
