Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Main duties of the job

Plan and implement care that gives residents security, dignity and independence. Be a positive influence on the care team. Provide personalised care, including helping with mobility, meals for residents at the end of life, and communicating with families by phone or in person, always with kindness at the forefront.

Job responsibilities

This is a full-time role with day shifts from 8am to 8pm (38.5 hours per week). Full flexibility is required. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:

  • Know our residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication.
  • Maintain accurate records and build strong relationships within the team.
  • Have (ideally) a Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Demonstrate brilliant positive energy, the ability to get along with people, and effective time management. Communicate with residents and co-workers with kindness at all times.
