To assist in the process and ensure that building regulation applications are dealt with according to agreed targets and timescales.
Based on validated competence, often without direct supervision, manage a portfolio of development sites, including low to medium risk building schemes within defined competencies and on high risk buildings under supervision.
To maintain proper records for plan appraisal and site inspections.
To maintain your own professional development and promote actively the professional development and registration of surveyors within the building control team.
To participate in the team’s development and continuous implementation of our Quality Control Management System (QMS) and to ensure quality controlled procedures and activities are consistently carried out in accordance with adopted procedures.
To assist in the analysis of submitted plans and supporting information, negotiating with consultees, applicants and their agents, answering queries from members of the public and their elected representatives.
To ensure that building regulations are adhered to.
