Job summary

Immunocore is seeking a Senior Scientist I - Characterisation within its Oxford Immunocore CMC team. The role focuses on protein and biopharmaceutical characterisation, including peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS) and intact mass analysis across recombinant proteins and antibodies.

You will aid development of characterisation methods for ImmTAX products, contribute to stability studies, and help write study protocols. Collaboration across diverse teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in development of HPLC based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of expected post-translational modifications.

Responsibilities

• Supporting drug substance and drug product impurity characterisation and identification.
• Contributing to development of characterisation methods for ImmTAX and related products.
• Designing biochemical characterisation, chemical stability and comparability studies.
• Contribute to writing study protocols and reports.
• Independently testing and leading lines of investigation; proposing new experiments.
• Mentoring others and sharing knowledge across departments.
