Responsibilities


  • As a Senior Associate in this well-respected team, you will handle a broad range of employment matters, with a particular focus on employer-side advisory and contentious work. You will be advising clients across multiple industries on complex employment law issues, including:

  • Employee relations and HR advisory work

  • Tribunal and High Court litigation

  • TUPE and outsourcing arrangements

  • Employment aspects of corporate transactions (M&A)

  • Drafting employment contracts, policies, and procedures

  • Advising senior executives on termination, settlement agreements, and restrictive covenants

  • With strong business development skills, you will also play a key role in building client relationships and contributing to the team’s continued success.

Qualifications


  • 5-8 years’ PQE (flexibility for exceptional candidates)

  • Experience in a City firm or a leading national/regional practice

  • Strong technical expertise in employment law, including contentious and non-contentious matters

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills

  • Business development acumen with the ability to nurture client relationships

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to deliver pragmatic solutions

  • A collaborative and proactive approach to working in a team environment


Desirable experience


  • TUPE transfers and outsourcing arrangements

  • Employment agencies and worker status issues

  • Business immigration (sponsorship compliance, right to work checks)

  • Pensions-related employment issues
