A fast-growing homewares brand in London is seeking a highly motivated Senior Merchandising Assistant to work alongside the Merchandising and Buying team. Responsibilities include order management, stock accuracy reporting, and creating trading reports. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a direct-to-consumer merchandising role and advanced Excel skills. Responsibilities

  • Create and follow a purchase order with a supplier.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure all stock is properly receipted and recorded.
  • Match invoice to purchase order and report discrepancies to accounts.
  • Ensure timely rebuys to keep our product in stock.
  • Create weekly, monthly and seasonal trading reports for product sales.

Overview

Mrs. Alice is a fast growing homewares brand designing and curating seasonal collections of tablescapes, tableware and homeware. The brand launched in 2019 and has been growing rapidly since, serving customers worldwide from www.mrsalice.com.

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Merchandising Assistant to work alongside the Merchandising and Buying team to ensure we keep our beautiful product bought on time to deliver to our customers. While this role is very administrative, we would like the successful candidate to be someone who enjoys the challenge of scaling a fast growing business alongside a small team and keen to develop in their role quickly to take on more responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Order management: Create and follow a purchase order with a supplier
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team and our USA 3PL to ensure all stock is properly receipted, recorded and that the correct inventory is kept up to date
  • Match invoice to purchase order and report discrepancies to accounts and to the supplier, including damages and shortages
  • Ensure timely rebuys to keep our product in stock at the expected stock turn levels
  • Stock management: Work alongside the buying and ecommerce teams to ensure new products are correctly created and updated on our backend ecommerce and inventory systems
  • Stock reporting: Create weekly, monthly and seasonal trading reports for product sales
  • Report on stock accuracy in warehouses
  • Report on inventory availability
Qualifications
  • Highly organised with a great attention to detail and driven by accuracy of information
  • Minimum of one year comparable experience in a direct to consumer merchandising role
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and confidence working with data
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving dynamic retail environment
  • Confidence to engage across the team at all levels
  • Knowledge of Bright Pearl is a plus, or any similar retail operating system
  • Enjoying early stage company culture is also a bonus - we move fast
