About the Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 11

The Senior Analyst will be part of the Redistribution and Partnerships team within S&P Global Market Intelligence (SPGMI). The role supports the RatingsXpress product management team, the flagship data distribution product for S&P Global Ratings. The analyst will focus on optimizing our market strategy for the redistribution of ratings content via third parties in the Americas, serving key customer segments including data vendors, investment management, banking, insurance, commercial banking, and non‑financial corporates. Responsibilities include supporting pricing and contractual terms related to external redistribution, business and commercial strategy development, and price optimization for new client licensing opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Structure deals, negotiate terms, and finalize agreements.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records on deals and quotes for comparative purposes.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date summaries of all vendor/partner relationships, including related contracts and terms.
  • Establish strong relationships with Commercial Teams and Product Managers to diagnose, distill, and deliver redistribution solutions to the market.
  • Collaborate internally to help design and deliver best‑practice training on redistribution for ratings content.
Requirements
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in financial information/market data vendor relationship management, sales contract negotiations, and overall market data management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related subject.
  • Complex and creative commercial deal negotiation experience with strong aptitude for reviewing, revising, and authoring deal proposals.
  • Solid knowledge of the financial information and market data industry, including various vendors and products available in the marketplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas effectively; strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deep analytical mindset, creative problem‑solving ability, and understanding of fixed‑income, investing, and risk workflows.
  • This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
