Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking SEND Tutors to provide one-to-one support for students with SEND and SEMH across a range of ages in the UK. Roles include Specialist Teacher, Intervention Tutor, and SEND Teacher, with flexible in-person, hybrid, and online delivery and rolling interviews.

We offer competitive pay (£35–£45/hr), flexible hours and scheduling with parents and schools, DBS guidance, and a supportive team focused on trauma-informed education to help learners succeed and progress.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD and/or PMLD in a holistic, trauma‑informed way.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/ QTLS) is required.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references are needed.
• Based in the UK with the right to work, even for remote/online roles.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report lessons with regular feedback on progress.
• Support KS1–KS5 as appropriate and tailor tutoring to EHCPs and risk assessments.
