Job summary

SENse Learning is hiring Specialist Teachers to provide one-to-one tutoring across SEND and SEMH needs in the UK. Roles involve in-person, online, and hybrid sessions with flexible hours and client-led scheduling.

You will support learners from KS1 to KS5, working within trauma-informed practices and safeguarding guidelines. Successful candidates will have at least 2 years of post-NQT experience, QTS or QTLS, and an enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• 2+ years post-NQT teaching experience with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD in a holistic approach.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references supported by recruitment process.
• UK-based with right to work status, including remote/online opportunities.
• Safeguarding knowledge and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with diverse needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid support to learners across KS1–KS5.
• Plan and report lessons, give regular feedback on progress, and tailor tutoring to EHCPs and risk assessments.
• Contribute to a trauma-informed approach and maintain safeguarding standards.
