Job summary

SENse Learning seeks Specialist Teachers to deliver one-to-one support for SEND/SEMH learners across the UK. Roles include in-person, online, and hybrid sessions, with flexible hours arranged with clients and schools.

You will work as a self-employed tutor, fostering a student-centred approach and tracking progress to report back to families. The position emphasizes safeguarding, DBS clearance, and the ability to adapt lessons for KS1–KS5.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD in a holistic, trauma-informed way.
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• Approach: Child-centred, holistic teaching with creativity to tailor the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with diverse needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report on lessons and progress, with regular feedback to carers and schools.
• Deliver trauma-informed, flexible lessons tailored to EHCPs and risk assessments.
• Engage with safeguarding practices to ensure a safe learning environment.
