SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time, ongoing roles starting as soon as possible

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant
  • Support pupils with a range of special educational needs in mainstream or specialist settings
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Support pupils with personal care and mobility needs where required
  • Contribute to observations and progress tracking
  • Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant
  • Experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting
  • Understanding of EHCPs, differentiation, and inclusive practice
  • A caring, patient, and resilient approach to supporting pupils
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEND support are desirable
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
