SEND Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Plymouth and the surrounding areas, delivering tailored learning experiences for children with a wide range of special educational needs.

Duties as SEND Teacher:
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the needs of pupils with SEND
  • Create inclusive learning environments that promote engagement and independence
  • Work closely with support staff to implement personalised strategies and interventions
  • Assess learner progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly
  • Develop and review individual education plans

  • Contribute to wider school life during longer-term placements
Ideal SEND Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND across a range of needs
  • Strong understanding of strategies for supporting SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other learning differences
  • Confident behaviour management skills tailored to individual learners
