Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a specialist SEND school based in Chatham to recruit a SEND Teacher on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapting content to meet individual needs and support pupils’ academic and personal development.

Key requirements include QTS and experience with SEND/Autism, plus strong classroom management and a patient, adaptable approach.

Qualifications

Job Title: SEND Teacher

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school based in Chatham. The school provides a supportive learning environment for children with Autism / ASD, with a strong focus on helping pupils engage with their education and achieve their individual learning goals.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teacher on a long-term basis. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for planning and presenting engaging lessons, adapting learning to meet individual needs and supporting children with their academic and personal development.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND, specifically Autism / ASD
• Experience planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Strong classroom management skills
• A patient and adaptable approach
• A commitment to supporting pupils with their learning and development
