Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a SEND provision in Leeds to recruit a SEND Teacher for day-to-day or long-term roles from September. You will support pupils with Autism/ ASD, SLD, PMLD and SEMH across multiple Key Stages, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs.

The successful candidate will benefit from 24/7 consultant support, CPD courses via the My-Progression channel, market leading pay, and a referral scheme offering up to £200 for successful referrals.

Qualifications

• QTS or ECTs welcomed to apply.
• Experience teaching children and young people with additional needs.
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SLD, PMLD or SEMH needs.
• Experience across multiple Key Stages and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and accessible learning for pupils with SEND across multiple Key Stages.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual learning requirements and needs.
• Support pupils with Autism/ASD, SLD, PMLD and SEMH throughout learning activities.

Job description

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £120 - 170 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND provision based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a SEND Teacher. The provision supports children and young people with a range of additional needs and is looking for a dedicated and compassionate teacher who can provide engaging and accessible learning.

The provision is looking for a SEND Teacher for day-to-day or long-term roles from September, working with pupils across multiple Key Stages. The successful SEND Teacher will support pupils with Autism / ASD, Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties / PMLD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs, adapting teaching to meet individual learning requirements.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching children and young people with additional needs
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SLD, PMLD and/or SEMH needs
• Experience working across multiple Key Stages
• The ability to adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs
• A patient, resilient and flexible approach
