Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a warm SEND school in South Birmingham to recruit a SEND Teacher for temporary day-to-day cover. You will deliver engaging lessons and tailor teaching to meet diverse needs for pupils aged 4–18, including those with PMLD, SLD and autism.

The role offers immediate start, PAYE pay, and the opportunity to develop SEND knowledge across different age groups while gaining valuable experience in SEND education.

Qualifications

• Must have QTS (ECTs welcomed)
• Experience working with children with additional needs is desirable
• Understanding of PMLD, SLD, autism and complex learning needs
• Excellent classroom management skills and a patient, adaptable approach

Responsibilities

• Provide temporary day-to-day cover and deliver engaging lessons
• Adapt teaching to meet individual pupil needs
• Support pupils aged 4–18 with a range of additional needs at a SEND school in South Birmingham

Salary: £160 - £200 per day

The school is looking for a SEND Teacher to provide temporary day-to-day cover, delivering engaging lessons and adapting teaching to meet individual needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a SEND Teacher looking to develop their SEND knowledge while gaining valuable experience across different age groups and learning needs.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience working with children and young people with additional needs is desirable
