Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a SEND Teacher to work in a warm and welcoming school in South Birmingham, supporting pupils aged 4-18 with PMLD, SLD, autism and complex needs. The role requires QTS (ECTs welcomed) and experience with additional needs.

You will deliver engaging lessons and manage diverse classrooms with a patient, adaptable approach. Salary between £160 and £200 per day is offered, with a supportive onboarding process and access to CPD through the My-Progression channel.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with SEND experience desirable
• Understanding of PMLD, SLD, autism and complex learning needs
• Excellent classroom management and positive, patient approach

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons to pupils with SEND across 4–18 age range
• Plan inclusive, differentiated activities to meet complex needs

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience working with children and young people with additional needs is desirable
• An understanding of PMLD, SLD, autism and complex learning needs
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A patient and adaptable approach to teaching
• A positive 'can-do' attitude
