Job - SEND Teacher (Full-Time, Long-Term)
Location: Yardley, Birmingham
Start Date: January 2026

Academics are currently supporting a mainstream primary school in Yardley that is seeking an experienced and dedicated SEND Teacher to join their SEND team from January 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a welcoming, well-resourced school that is fully committed to providing the highest level of support for children with additional needs. You will be joining a strong, collaborative team with excellent support in their SEN Hub.

Role Details:

  • Full-time position starting January 2026
  • Working within a mainstream primary setting with a focus on SEND provision
  • Supported by three experienced Teaching Assistants
  • All planning is completed by the SENDCo, allowing you to focus on teaching, delivery and supporting pupil progress
  • Long-term role with potential for extension

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience working with children with SEND
  • Ability to create a nurturing, inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
