Job summary

Monarch Education is recruiting an Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Solihull. You will support pupils with complex learning needs, autism and related conditions, helping them access learning and daily activities.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, with a full-time, long-term placement. The role may involve personal care, moving and handling, and using communication strategies to support social and emotional development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Ability to work with Autism, SLD, PMLD, complex needs or medical needs.
• Caring, patient and resilient nature.
• Confident supporting pupils with varying communication needs, including non-verbal learners.
• Understanding of sensory regulation and child-centred approaches.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive and adaptable attitude.
• Experience with personal care and moving and handling is desirable.
