Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join a primary school in Solihull. This full-time role involves leading a small class of pupils with ASD, complex needs and SEBD, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in a structured, nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS with SEND experience and have a solid understanding of UK SEND and Alternative Provision. A safeguarding Level 1 certification and an enhanced DBS (Updates Service) are required.

Qualifications

• QTS with SEND experience.
• Excellent knowledge of UK SEND and Alternative Provision.
• Experience supporting children with ASD and challenging behaviour.
• At least 12 months in SEND.
• Safeguarding Level 1.
• Enhanced DBS (Update Service) or willingness to obtain one.
• Caring, patient, nurturing approach.
• Strong commitment to pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small primary class of pupils with ASD, complex needs and SEBD.
• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in a structured, nurturing environment.
• Work with the SEN team and school staff to provide high-quality support.
