Job summary

Monarch Education are seeking an Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND setting in Bromsgrove. The role is full-time and long-term, supporting pupils with Autism, MLD/SLD, SEMH and sensory needs, both academically and emotionally.

You will help pupils engage in learning, develop independence, and reach individual targets. Some personal care and behaviour support may be required. Excellent facilities and a supportive team are on offer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience with Autism, learning difficulties, communication needs and/or SEMH.
• A patient, caring, and nurturing approach.
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
• A proactive, flexible, and resilient attitude.
• Experience supporting personal care needs is desirable.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils academically and emotionally, helping them engage in learning, develop independence, build confidence, and achieve their individual targets.
• Role may involve supporting pupils with personal care, sensory regulation activities, and positive behaviour strategies where required.
• Work in a nurturing, child-centred environment with excellent facilities and a dedicated staff team.
