Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking an Intervention Tutor to support pupils in Crawley and surrounding areas. The role focuses on delivering bespoke, one-to-one sessions to engage SEND learners with SEMH, MLD, SLD and PMLD needs through trauma-informed, holistic tutoring.

You will work in-person, online/remote, or hybrid, with flexible hours and a self-employed status. The salary is £35–£45 per hour, with safe recruitment and DBS processes in place.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, PMLD in a holistic, trauma-informed approach.
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and/or QTLS.
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• Location: Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including remote/online roles.
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with a range of needs.
• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid support to SEND/SEMH learners.
• Support pupils from KS1–KS5 with flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
