Job description
Overview

Prospero teaching is looking for tutors with experience with SEN students or in an SEN setting in the Standish area to provide 1 to 1 support to students with SEN requirements. We are seeking an inspirational and engaging tutor to help support those whose needs may not have been within the traditional school setting.

Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis.
  • Use a therapeutic approach as needed to re-engage students with their learning.
  • Provide structure in the pupil’s daily routine and support their educational development.
  • Monitor progression by submitting weekly reports to Prospero.
  • Provide tutoring during school hours, five days a week, where applicable.

Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
  • Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
Eligibility
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
