Overview

Are you a caring, patient, and motivated individual who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. For the right person, this role has the potential to become permanent.

About the Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, ensuring they are fully supported to reach their potential. You will work closely with children who have a variety of needs, which may include:

  • Learning difficulties
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Speech, language, and communication needs
  • Sensory impairments
  • Behavioural or emotional challenges
Responsibilities
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support, adapting resources to meet individual learning needs.
  • Assisting in the delivery and monitoring of EHCP targets.
  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
  • Creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Providing personal care where required.
